Combating Wedding Stress

Combating Wedding Stress

Stressed Out?

If you are totally overwhelmed by your wedding, you’re not alone. Here are some practical ways that will help you not be a major bridezilla and actually enjoy your wedding.

No. 1 - Be Okay With Changes

I was initially planning for a May wedding, but 2020, lol, so it got pushed to December. HUGE change! The theme changed, the venue changed, literally everything, even a bridesmaid(!!) changed. And you know what? It all was okay. I still had a beautiful wedding, and the changes ended up being for the better. When obstacles come and all of a sudden something doesn’t work out, don’t have a freakout! Calmly assess the situation and adjust your budget, plans, etc, as needed.

No. 2 - Get a Second Opinion

Have someone, whether it’s your spouse-to-be, your mom, or some bridesmaids, to bounce ideas off of. I find it very helpful to process things verbally. Have someone who isn’t going to judge you and is willing to be your sounding block and just talk to them about the details.

No. 3 - Use a Wedding Guide

There is nothing worse than trying to figure out a wedding without expert opinions. There are a lot of moving parts, and it’s difficult to keep it all together. Find a wedding guide that you love and will use, whether online or a physical copy; something to keep all your information organized and in one place will go a long way.
